Gnome 3 and system tray issues
Whatpulse version 2.4
Latest stable version of Elementary OS (based on Ubuntu 14.04) and Fedora 20. Both of these distros use Gnome 3. I don't have whatpulse set to run at startup - I run it manually. When the Gnome tray is clearly active, trying to run whatpulse (with root permissions) gives the "Could not detect a system tray" error and throws this: Code: WARN "sni-qt/16884" WARN 14:56:59.228 void StatusNotifierItemFactory::connectToSnw() Invalid interface to SNW_SERVICE Any ideas what's going on there, or fixes I can try? I've googled around and it seems most of the system tray issues are related to autorunning at login, which isn't the case here. |
